Justice League #11 SPOILER REVIEW

Writer: Bryan Hitch
Artists: Neil Edwards, Daniel Henriques, Adriano Lucas

Another One Hits the Dust

The C team is up to bat and they’re ready to pound out a win against the Justice League. Some of these baddies are a great nostalgia to pre 52 readers. Trying to hold their own while watching each other’s back the League desperately tries to make civilians their number one priority. A priority that keeps getting interrupted by getting their asses kicked. A very loose plot line doesn’t get helped by the almost silly game of catch they play with the A.I iPad. Realizing that the girl is really oh they need. Some awkward panels of the bad guys getting the girl and then the League getting her back. It was all very rushed and anti climatic.

In some very cartoonish pages the Justice League splits up to try and take down this assembly of baddies. Eventually they realize that they need to team up in order to successfully defeat their foes. Seems that they should have done that in the first place. The art on these pages were pretty disappointing. It looks more like a quick sketch that wasn’t fully finished. Once they secure the girl and her lethal iPad the villains retreat.

The Confessional

It was really hard to find things to say about this book. I’ve had so much hope that this series could turn itself around, but this issue has cut off all ties to that hope. I don’t know if they switched to a monthly release if that would help with the quality of the books they are putting out. I was such a huge fan of the 52 run so having these beloved characters getting undeserving plot lines and quick drawings is disheartening. Not of the main antagonist are being properly treated. They are there for an issue or two and a very nonsensical way are taken down. Luckily all there stand alone issues are doing a lot better and I have somewhere to enjoy my favorite characters.
