Justice League Vs. Suicide Squad #2 SPOILER REVIEW

Writer: Joshua Williamson
Artists: Tony Daniel, Sandu Florea, Alex Sinclair, Rob Leigh

To Kill or to be Killed...

Amanda is pulling the strings on her puppets, and if they don’t listen, well boom goes their heads. She is asking quite a lot from them in this case. Escape the Justice League or kill trying. It’s the ultimate boss battle. In a dark corner of the world Maxwell Lord is trying to convince the big time baddies to help him “save the world.” I want to take a moment her to appreciate Lobo’s luscious locks. Anyway his spiel is sold when the death of Amanda Waller is mentioned. Seriously, no one likes her…no one. The Suicide Squad splits up the league to fight more one on one. This causes some really cool and bad ass pages of pure action. Everything from Killer Frost’s moment of hesitation to Supes punching out Killer Croc was just magic. The ending of this issue well have you on the edge of your seats and wondering what will happen next.

The art was great. Each character was highlighted tastefully and in their classic looks. The colors matched well with tone without going over board. Even the facial expressions were spot on which can be hard to do sometimes. There isn’t one thing I would change.

The Confessional

This was so awesome! It made me super excited about comics again! Everything ran so smoothly and flawlessly I breezed through the whole issue. Each character’s personality was perfectly done and brought such a special element to this comic. This is the Harley I’ve been waiting to show up. The characters interacting with each other drew me into their world. For the first event of Rebirth it has everything you’d want. A clash of heroes in villains. Bad guys you haven’t seen in a while. An actual suspenseful plot. Perfecto.

Salvation:★★★★★★★★★★
