Scooby-Doo! Where Are You? #78

Writer: Derek Fridolfs
Art: Randy Elliot
Colors: Silvana Brys
Letters: Saida Temofonte

Scoob, We Have a Problem:

In this story Scooby and the gang sign up for space camp, but after a mission was grounded due to technical difficulties it seems an alien has come to chase after our space campers. Luckily the gang is here to solve this Mystery. The Monster of this story just happens to be one of the astronauts who was supposed to take off on that space mission.

The Confessions of a Six Year-Old:

My favorite part of this book is when Shaggy rides in the big hamster wheel because that looks like it would be fun to do, but I really didn't like when Daphne rode that chair because that looked scary. I really liked this art, it looked just like the cartoons did. I had no idea that the alien was the old astronaut guy, I thought it was a real alien. Not a smart alien though, he got caught by Scooby-Doo chasing after Shaggy. I also really liked it when Scooby was eating ice cream at the end.

Holy - ★★★★★★★✩✩✩

The Confessional:

This story was one straight out of the old Scooby cartoons, the real monsters are people and our teenage group of mystery solvers with the help of their dog. This concept was always hilarious to me, my favorite parts were always how Shaggy and Scooby were trying to find something to eat and this story had all of that, made me nostalgic of my childhood. I completely agree with my son, this art made me think about the cartoons we use to watch together because he could never get enough of Scooby-Doo.

Salvation - ★★★★★★★★★★

 Psychic Fiend Network:

Writer: Robbie Bush
Art: Scott Neely

Bad Vibrations:

This story was about a psychic who gets possessed by an evil spirit, Scooby and the gang are here to see if there is something more going on, when all it turns out to be is the psychic wants to move to another station.

The Confessions of a Six Year-Old:

I didn't like this story; it was hard to follow. I liked the art better in the other story but this one was okay I guess... My favorite part was watching Scooby and Shaggy eat those big hamburgers, and I didn't like the psychic lady at all. I thought the mad crew people made her go all crazy because she was mean to them.

Blessing: ★★★★★★✩✩✩✩

The Confessional:

I actually have to agree with the little man with this one, the story fell flat and I was not interested after three pages. I'm not quite sure why the gang was even there or how the psychic thought pretending to be possessed by anything was going to help her move to another station. The fact that the team thought it could have been anyone interfering to make her possessed was beyond me. This art was blah and the colors were dark and muddy. After having a fun first story to make me relive my childhood this story just felt off.
