Wonder Woman #17

Writer: Greg Rucka
Artists: Liam Sharp
Color: Laura Martin

Here Kitty, Kitty

Even with the ominous tree present, Catalia tells Hippolyta to not lose hope. Wonder Woman is only lost but not gone. Inside the mental hospital Diana and the snake in her mind are speaking of all her identities. She is so much more than just Wonder Woman, or a princess, or even an amazon.  Still can’t tell if this snake is good or bad for Diana… Either way I hope she pulls out of this trance like state she is in. Especially since Godwatch has just manipulated Barbara to give up herself to her evil alter ego in order to save her friends. With Barbara’s impending doom comes a light of hope as Ferdinand finds his old friend.

The Confessional

First off a huge standing ovation to Liam Sharp! There were so many panels where I just had to stop and appreciate the art! Every dramatic scene was just brought out in more depth with the rich colors and clean lines. Just perfection. I love how the issues are between present day and flashbacks. Honestly I don’t know which one is my favorite, they are both so good! I’m excited for Wonder Woman to become herself again, I think this experience is will definitely develop her character into an even stronger and wiser person. Rucka is able to have all these different plots and characters interweaving with each other without any confusion or hiccups. That shows how talented he is. I can’t wait for this story line to continue and to see how far Godwatch will go.
