Green Lanterns #19

Writer: Sam Humphries
Art: Ronan Cliquet

Letters: Dave Sharpe

Polarity:

In this issue we learn a little bit of backstory for Doctor Polaris, Simon has some personal issues, and our heroes take a dive. Next Issue: Deep Impact.

The Confessional:

So, my only complaint about this issue… timeline? Is this set before the Batman arc or after, and if it's after those events did we just skip over the whole Volthoom calling them back? Can we just get a solid timeline in this book? So, now looking at this for the issue alone, I really enjoyed it, it flew by and the artwork was phenomenal and at the end of the day we are back to a decent three issue story arc. So, welcome back Doctor Polaris, and his character development is fantastic. Like, he really isn't a bad guy, he just has a bad side because his past, plus he's trying to get help with his problems. Is it just me or is Harcourt worst than Waller? Like Waller was manipulative but I feel like Harcourt is going to be a eviller version… and I don't know if I'm going to like it. Now it seems like our Lanterns are working with her to bring in Polaris, so since when do members of the Justice League take orders from Harcourt? Now that aside, how is it that our bearers of the power rings were so easily wrapped up at the end of this? I mean that shield should have held Polaris and he is just, boom now my turn…

All in all, I really enjoyed this issue, I had a few issues with it but that didn't take away from the issue as a whole.

Blessing: ★★★★★★✩✩✩✩   6/10
