Not A Bad Plan...

Well it looks like our heroes, and Captain Boomerang, have gotten themselves in a bit of a predicament. They're all tied to posts about to get shot by the Weavers who are part of a mission that Captain Boomerang was sent on by Amanda Waller. But Flash had to go and screw that all up and here we are. Flash can't even vibrate through the Weaver's webs used to tie them up. That's OK though, sly Captain Boomerang tries to talk his way out of it by telling the Weavers what better way to peddle your guns than to shoot the fastest target with one of them. They think it's a fine idea. So they release the Flash to start running, but they also release Boomerang. Classic!

Kid Flash to the Rescue...

Run Barry and Captain Boomerang, run! It's quite astounding that Boomerang doesn't get shot here to be honest, it's a gun that's made to shoot the Flash! Luckily for the both of them though, Kid Flash attempts to vibrate through the webbing only to explode it. He hasn't mastered vibrating yet and I guess at this point that's a good thing. He proceeds to take the Weavers out by having some fun with a boomerang and doing other Flash type ass kicking.

The Truth(s)...

Now that all is said and done, Kid Flash wants some answers about where Daniel West is and knows Boomerang knows something. After finding out Daniel is Kid Flash’s father and feeling bad, Boomerang admits that his father died trying to save a bunch of kids from a bomb on a suicide Squad mission. Poor Kid Flash gets mad at Flash because he thinks Flash lied even though he didn't. So Flash unmasks and Wally learns he's Barry Allen! I do think this series should just be called Kid Flash at this point though. Not complaining. They have a heart to heart conversation then Wally gets mad again because Barry hasn't told Iris.

The ending is the most interesting part of the issue as we see the return of the Reverse Flash... The one that was killed during Flashpoint! Say what?!

The Confessional:

This wasn't a bad issue but it wasn't anything overly exciting. We didn't learn a whole lot since it was already known that Daniel West was dead. But the most interesting part, like I mentioned before, is the return of Flashpoint Reverse Flash. I'm insanely intrigued by this turn of events.

The art was once again well done. The colors just explode out of the panels when there's some speeding happening. One of my favorite series.
