In a world where there is no black in white, we find ourselves buried in the grey area between evil and good. The question is, who will have the better team?
***NON-SPOILERS and SUMMARY AT THE BOTTOM***
Evil Batman has taken ahold of the Suicide Squad, and after blowing up some of the less useful members, they head to the Pentagon. The real Bats swoops in to try to take back control, but is ultimately defeated. Broken, Bruce gathers his own team of vigilantes and rich guys to help him take back, well the world I suppose. But worse things are on the horizon as one the world’s biggest threats is released once again.
Since Injustice 2 just came out on console today, it was a real treat to be able to sit down and indulge in this story even more. I think one of the reasons I admire Tom Taylor so much is because there’s a very natural feel to the dialogue. So many times I find myself thinking, “wow that’s probably how I’d react,” I just love the grace and geniuses he writes with. Again the art works really well with the story. I love the contrast of dark and light depending on which characters are splashed across the page. Just such a good read, couldn’t recommend it enough.
Sum it Up!
Do you want action, drama, gore, love? Well if you do, I guarantee you’ll find something to love about this book. Throwing us into a world of ‘What if’s” Tom has done a fantastic job of crafting such a thrilling and engaging story. I can’t get enough of it. It flows so beautifully, I breezed through the issue. I honestly can’t find one thing I’d change. The humor is well distributed and not over done. The suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat. The characters easily draw you into their world. I loved it!
