This Book is Endless
Flash finds himself in a time loop where he has to watch a man kill Jessica over and over again. Unable to outrun this problem, Barry tries to recruit the Justice League to help him prevent this disaster. Turns out, like usual, Barry is the cause of this tragedy. By being preemptive, he set in motion the events just as he kept experiencing them.
This is bad. The plot is elusive, puzzling, and nonsensical. I have been trying very hard to be positive about Bryan Hitch on Justice League, because every inch of me wants to like a Justice League story. This might just be the last straw. Yes, it’s a new arc, but we get absolutely no resolution from the previous arc. It might come in the next couple issues, but at this point I’m so discouraged that I don’t even know If I care to read them. The art is okay, there were some panels that were cool, but they still can’t make up for just a bad story.
DC is going to keep Bryan Hitch on, as long as sales are high. Unfortunately, he was given the most popular title, so of course people are going to keep buying it for the names sake. I don’t recommend this book. Take the money you were going to spend and buy a different title. Go to comicbookround.com up and see what people are actually liking. Pick something you normally wouldn’t, like Super Girl Being Super, surprise yourself. There are so many talented writers and artist out there on Rebirth right now, all who are more worthy of your attention and money. Go my children go to them!
3.5/10 (a one because the art isn’t half bad)
