***NON-SPOILERS and SUMMARY AT THE BOTTOM***
Welcome to the 25th Century
Barry walks us through the first time he met Eobard Thawne. Years ago, the Flash stepped off the cosmic treadmill into the Central City of the future for the first time. Eobard claimed to be the ultimate Flash fanboy and even recreated the Flash’s powers. Barry soon realizes that Eobard was no hero. Instead, he was endangering the lives of people to make himself look like one. Barry defeats Eobard and puts him behind bars, only for Eobard to escape, become Reverse Flash, and go back in time and murder Barry’s mother.
Return to the Future
Barry is back in the 25th Century and battling Eobard in the Flash Museum. After Eobard’s most recent run-in with death, he returned to his own time only to discover he was no longer the expert on all things Flash. He went back to see what else had changed staring with Barry’s new sidekick and his Aunt Iris. History has been altered.
It turns out Eobard truly wanted to change after his first encounter with Barry. He wanted Barry to see how he changed so he went back in time to show him. He changed his costume to yellow because that was the color Flash’s sidekicks wore. But he sees Barry mentoring Wally West, offering him the same tender words of advice he gave to Eobard when they first met. Scorned, Eobard vowed to make sure the Flash suffered the same pain he did. Wanting to expose Barry as a liar, Eobard demasks him in front of Iris West, exposing his secret identity!

sum it up!
A fast, fun, oversized Flash book without Barry going back in time to fix things for once! Learning the history of Eobard Thawne and his evolution to the Reverse Flash was the most compelling part of the story. Splashy art and creative panel layouts add to experience. A must read for any Flash/Reverse Flash fan.
