Surprise, Surprise – Part 2
Previously, in Harley Quinn – It’s Harley’s birthday and all her friends and family are here to celebrate! But as usual, things don’t go according to plan when the Unconquerable 25 attack and ruin everyone’s fun.
***NON-SPOILERS and SUMMARY AT THE BOTTOM***
It’s My Party
Thanks to Harley’s gal friends, the Gotham City Sirens Catwoman and Poison Ivy, this issue was filled with blood, guts, and enough cleavage to make Power Girl jealous. Not a lot else needs to be elaborated on as much of the book consisted of the Sirens fighting the Unconquerable 25 with their amble bosoms sharing the page with bone-crunching, blood splattering violence. Not that that’s a bad thing, this is a Harley Quinn book after all and sometimes you just want some sex and violence in your comic book…
And I’ll Kill If I Want To
Once Harley has essentially killed the majority of the Unconquerable 25 she wants to get back to her party. But complications from Harley Sinn (who has been prisoner in Harley’s basement this whole time) and Police Chief Spoonsdale delay the festivities a bit longer.
All this goes back to the corrupt mayor of New York and the overall story arc that will see Harley Quinn run for Mayor of New York. Of course, for that she’ll need staff, a treasurer, a fundraiser person, a budget strategist, advertising agent, and social media guru. Harley looks around at her rag-tag group of friends and says, “I’m gonna run fer MAYOR a’ NEW YORK CITY!”
Next: Election Insurrection
Sum it up!
If you like sex and violence this is the issue for you! Guest stars Catwoman and Poison Ivy add their cleavage to the copious amounts of bloodshed in this book, but after all, isn’t that what a Harley Quinn book is all about?!
